Hi. I’m Emily. I’m a West Virginia native, DIY enthusiast, non-profit professional, and otherwise relatively normal human masquerading as a mature adult.
Some of my hobbies: creating things (especially with paper), organization in many forms, and exercising (but not running–let’s be clear here). Life goals include adopting a pig, writing a book, and someday learning to roll my ‘R’s.
I received my Master’s in Public Health (MPH) with an additional graduate Certificate in Women’s Health from West Virginia University. I am also a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES). I spent a decade in Los Angeles, working in community health, mostly managing a non-profit program that delivers nutrition education to South LA children and their families. I now live in Northern Virginia and continue to do non-profit management and consulting.
