These 13 Seriously Unique and Classy Paper Wedding Crafts prove that DIY doesn’t have to look like DIY.
Our love for paper knows no bounds. But can you blame us?? So versatile, so elegant, and sometimes oh-so-realistic. We hope to soon have tutorials for these 13 Seriously Unique and Classy Paper Wedding Crafts but in the meantime, you can join us in swooning.
#1 Giant Flower Ceremony Backdrop
Nothing says DIY wedding like a giant paper flower backdrop for your wedding ceremony! Yet it also looks extremely professional and modern. Budget saving if it also doubles as a backdrop for photos and family portraits.
#2 Leafy Chair Garland
Free the chairs! Skip the chair covers and go with chair decor. These leafy garlands were made of cardstock, floral wire, and hot glue. Draping velvet ribbon ties the garlands to each side of the chair back.
#3 Paper Lantern Table Numbers
Nothing can kill the authenticity of wedding decor like an exposed fake, electric candle. Get smart (especially if your venue doesn’t allow open flames) and cover your battery-powered candlelight with a paper lantern – bonus if it doubles as a table number!
#4 Dress and Tux Garland
I think the adorableness speaks for itself here.
#5 Tissue Box Covers
Also pretty adorable! The dress and tux on the front of the tissue boxes were made of cardstock and glued on separately. Having matching, streamlined covers for your tissues can clean up your ceremony atmosphere while keeping a minimal, modern look intact.
#6 Large Paper Aisle Lanterns
Romantic lighting is hard to embody without an open flame. Store-bought lanterns and lighting can get expensive REAL fast. Step up your ambiance while saving a TON by doing your own lanterns or lighting covers.
#7 Custom Matchbox Favors
So many favors are wasteful and thrown away by guests right after the wedding. But who doesn’t use matches?? Utility and design of this favor make a statement while being environmentally conscious. On the right, candles were included in store-bought bride and groom paper packaging (also recyclable!).

#8 Translucent Vellum and Wax Seal Place Cards
The bride and groom’s first date was over burgers. Rose gold wax burger stamps were used to affix a translucent vellum paper to a metallic white card to create classy, yet a little edgy, place cards.
#9 Custom Straw Flags and Cocktail Stirrers
It’s the small details that make a difference and make your event truly special. Add the bride and groom’s initials or wedding date to paper flags to create a custom look.
#10 Mirrored Cardstock Chargers
Major budget saving trick here! Beautiful rose gold mirrored cardstock was cut using a Cricut to create chargers for each place setting. Skip the wasteful plastic chargers and recycle or reuse these paper chargers after your wedding.
#11 Cake Topper
Tiny Mr. and Mrs. banner was created using the same mirrored cardstock from #11 as a backing. Letters were cut on translucent vellum (using a Cricut) to create an overlay for each mini pennant.
#12 Pennant Reception Signs
Done well, pennant signs and banners create a whimsical, romantic look that doubles in utility. Bonus money-saving tip: eliminate the cost of hired help by creating beautiful signage that enables guests to serve themselves.
#13 Custom Guest Wine Charms
These hand-stamped metal wine tags also doubled as a favor. A tiny rose gold paper leaf, table number charm, and mini tassel were all linked together with gold metal wire.
